COVID-19 Safety Plans and Helping Our Community
Lakeland has been operating as an essential business throughout the COVID-19 pandemic while making shifts in our operations, working spaces and hygienic guidelines to ensure the safety of our customers and employees. Many of our staff including our outside sales team has been working remotely during this time. As businesses begin to implement their safety plans and incrementally open their doors, the Lakeland team is ready to provide application assistance safely and at a distance.
We have the proper precautions in place including face masks and gloves to follow recommendations from the WHO and CDC to help prevent the spread of the virus. Our team continues to respect each customers’ and companies’ preferred method of communication and have instructed our sales team to use their best judgement and follow the outlined guidelines and safety plan put forth.
This pandemic has brought a lot of hardship across the globe, including right in our own backyard. In an effort to support those in our community who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lakeland Engineering Equipment team banded together to raise funds for Second Harvest Heartland. This organization provides food assistance to those in need as an astounding 1 in 11 people in our region are affected by hunger.
Employees of Lakeland raised $700 and Lakeland matched $500 worth of those donations, bringing the final total to $1,200. This amount will provide 3,600 meals to those in need. Thank you to all who donated and participated in this small act of kindness.
We hope all of our customers are continuing to successfully and safely continue their vital operations. If your business has a safety plan in place for visitors, please keep us posted or connect with your local rep.
