Employee Spotlight on Jeff Peterson, Warehouse Supervisor
This month’s employee spotlight is on Lakeland’s Warehouse Supervisor, Jeff Peterson. Jeff is a key player in the overall success of Lakeland Engineering Equipment Company and Lakeland’s continuing commitment to provide exceptional customer service. As the Warehouse Supervisor, Jeff’s everyday duties consist of shipping, receiving, organization and ensuring order accuracy. These roles are all vital to Lakeland’s business processes.
23-Years of Commitment & Enhancing Processes
Jeff has been with Lakeland for 23-years as of January 2019. He is a second generation Lakeland employee after his father worked in the Accounting Department for many years. Jeff was introduced to the company by his father, first starting his employment in the warehouse during summer breaks in the 90s. “I really enjoy the pace of this job and the confidence the team has instilled in me,” said Jeff. “Lakeland has a laid-back and friendly environment which makes it enjoyable to come to work.”
Jeff oversees all processes of the warehouse including the cleanliness and organization to streamline operations. Over the years, he has made many organizational and procedural enhancements to increase efficiency. “The warehouse team always works together to double-check customer orders and provide quick turn-around times,” said Jeff. “We make sure each order is accurate and our customers depend on us for that.”
A Self-Proclaimed “Sportaholic”
When Jeff is not hard at work, he enjoys spending time with family and is a self-proclaimed “sportaholic.” His favorite team is the Vikings, stating, “I love all sports but I follow Minnesota teams regularly – especially the Vikings, whether they’re having a good year or not!” Jeff used to play on a kickball league with his brother and sister and even won three championships. “It got pretty competitive – we had a lot of great times together,” said Jeff.
