Arc Flash Training
This month, Lakeland and our partners in certified electrical safety held a NFPA 70E and OSHA Compliant electrical safety training in Plymouth, MN for our customers. Safety is of concern to our customers across all industries. As electrical safety compliance and regulations evolve, Lakeland is committed to informing our customers with the tools needed to stay in compliance and ensure their machine operators and equipment are safe.
Attendees received a deep dive on electrical shock, ARC Flash, ARC Blast and safe work practices. Included within these educational categories were mitigating shock hazards, Arc Flash hazard prevention, proper PPE, employer and employee safety responsibilities and much more.
The training was an interactive course where attendees were encouraged to ask questions, have conversations regarding their applications and watch example videos. In addition, PPE was shown to the class with the opportunity to try-on the Arc Flash suit.
After the 4-hour course, all attendees received a certificate of completion for passing the final course test which was first given at the beginning of the course as a means to show attendees all that they would learn during their time. Attendees were also pleased with the accommodations including a pizza and pasta buffet provided by the Ramada Inn / Green Mill in Plymouth, MN.
